The destroyers are immortal heavy cavalry with lances and preferably morningstars or warhammers. They are supposed to make the enemy unsure of where the enemy is, making them more vulnerable to archers, infantry and destroyers. Skirmishers are usually fast, and have bows ideally. Damage pumpers are best when mixed in with the pikers and shielders, so they can get the defensive bonuses from the other infantry while dealing much more damage.įor cavalry you have two main types: skirmish and destroyers. Pikers are good for holding ground to stop enemy cavalry charges. The shielders are great for siege and for advancing on an archer formation. For infantry you can basically split them in 3 types: shielders, pikers and damage pumpers.
Basically just get the units that you use in your tactics. Also cavalry charging the enemy archers is great, they are also good for getting the enemy infantry blob to turn their shields away from your archers by circling behind them. However, in sieges more infantry could be better. As long as your infantry and cavalry are enough people to hold off the enemy from reaching your archers, just add more archers.
